Members of Mrs. Golden Ufford’s day care class at
Chattooga High School were hostesses for some 75
youngsters Tuesday for a Christmas party at the
Holland Day Care Center. The group made gifts and

Home Schedule April 6
AT LANTA-The Atlanta
Braves will open their 1973
home schedule against the
Houston Astros on Friday
night. April 6, at Atlanta
Stadium, and the home
schedule will contain an At
lanta record high of 11 double
headers during the year.
Os the 11 home double
headers. eight arJ on Sundays
making all but five Sundays on
the schedule twin bills. One of
the doubleheaders will be on a
Wednesday, one on a Thurs
day. and the remaining one on
a Friday.
As for total home dates, the
Braves will play nine times at
Atlanta Stadium in April, 11
times in May, 12 times in June,
15 in July, 12 in August, and
11 in September.
There are a total of 13
weekend series on the Braves
home schedule.

percentage. Johnny Oates led
all qualifying American League
catchers with a .995 percentage
and tied for the Major League
fielding lead with Randy
Hundley of the Cubs.
Oates had only two errors in
424 total chances last season
... In addition to leading the
league in fielding last season at
second base, Johnson had been
the Gold Glove winner at

Christmas
Party Held
The Sunday School class of
Mrs. H. B. Durham and Mrs.
Troy Griffeth of the Mountain
View Baptist Church, held
their Christmas party at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd
“Buck” Presley.
The house was beautifully
decorated in the holiday
colors.
After a delicious meal gifts
were exchanged and Mesdames
Durham and Griffeth were
presented a nice gift each from
the members of the class.
