Mister, There Is More
A little lad was gazing into
the window of an art store
wherein was displayed a
notable picture of the cruci
fixion of Jesus. An older man
drew near, and he too stood
and gazed at the painting. The
boy said, “That is Jesus.” The
man made no answer, so the
boy continued, “The Roman
soldiers standing by the cross
. . . they killed him.”
The man asked, “Where did
you learn all of that?”
“In the mission Sunday
School,” the boy replied.
The man turned to walk
away, but in a moment he
heard footsteps and the voice
of the little boy, crying after
him, “Mister, there is more.
Jesus rose again!”
There is more than death
and darkness. Jesus arose from
the grave! He’s Alive!
Jesus lives to die no more!
That was the message of the
early church. That is our good
news tor men. Jesus died for
our sins and arose for our justi
fication. and He is coming
again! (Romans 4:25; John
14 1-6)
The Resurrection of Christ
was accompanied by many in
fallible proofs during His forty
days on earth before His ascen
sion. (Acts 1:3)
The Resurrection ot Christ
is the seal of the finished work
of Calvary, in that God has
raised Him triumphantly to His
own right hand. (Philippians
2:6-11; Hebrews 1:3)
The Resurrection of Christ
was an integral part of the
preaching of the Apostles in
the Acts. (Acts 13:30-35)
Christ died for our sins. He
was buried. But Ladies and
Gentlemen there is more! He
Rose Again The Third Day. He
Is R sen. He's Alive! Wherefore
He is able also to save them to
the uttermost that come unto
God by Hun, seeing He ever
liveth to make intercession for
them. (Hebrews 6:25). Repent!
Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and thou shalt be saved.

Top 4-H’ers Are Named In Georgia
ATHENS —Two young
4-H’ers from North Georgia
have won one of the youth
organization’s highest honors.
Wayne Reece, Route 5, Ellijay,
and Kathy Bridges, Route 4,
Commerce, are the 1976 state
winners in citizenship.
The citizenship award is
granted to individuals for out
standing work in civic and
community affairs, work with
young people and offering a
helping hand where it’s needed.
Wayne Reece is best known
to many children and needy
families in Gilmer County as
“Santa Claus.” At Christmas
Wayne dons a tight fitting
costume and brings a little
added cheer to the North
Georgia hills.
He taught one elderly
woman how to drive and
helped put plumbing in an
other’s house. However,
keeping many elderly friends
company is what he likes doing
best.
Wayne attends North Geor
gia College at Dahlonega. He
hopes to become a lawyer and
represent the underprivileged.
Kathy Bridges has held
office in her 4-H Club for five
out of the seven years she’s
been a member.
One of her special areas is
safety, and many of her citi
zenship projects have involved
teaching young people bicycle,
car and water safety.
At 16, she has enjoyed the
responsibilities of being a
foster parent to an under
privileged child and an adop
tive friend to an elderly shut
