Langston regret to learn that
he is confined to Tri-County
Hospital in Ft. Oglethorpe and
wish for him a speedy
recovery.
Mrs. Gertie Nunn and Misses
Evelyn and Ruby Barrett
shopped in Eastgate Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray White,
Mrs. Ruth primes, Mrs.
Dorothy Grimes, and Mrs. Inez
Pledger visited with Miss Kathy
Grimes, a student at Jackson
ville College, Jacksonville, Ala.,
and enjoyed dinner at the
Good Guy Restaurant. They
also attended the ball game of
the University of Tennessee
Martins and Jacksonville
College Team.

entered Tri-County Hospital
Saturday evening. Mrs. Beatrice
Ruck and Mr. and Mrs. Larry
Langston were among those
visiting her during the week
end.

Mary Espy, and Mrs. Ruby
Lowery were Tuesday evening
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Will

his family in the death of his
sister, Mrs. Mary Pace, who
passed away last Tuesday.

The many friends of Dewey
“Dude” Colbert were deeply
shocked to learn of his death
last Tuesday, and give to his
sisters, Miss Lorene Colbert
and Mrs. Annie Ray Farmer,
and his daughter and family
their sincere sympathy.
‘‘Dude” as he was
affectionately known by his
many friends, was a long-time
resident of Trion and will be
greatly missed by all who knew
him.
Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Hayes
and daughter visited her
mother, Mrs. Scott, in Cornelia
and his brother and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Ronnie Hayes and
their new baby son in the
Cornelia hospital during the
weekend.
Mrs. Frances Kirby was
among those attending revival
services at the Gospel
Tabernacle in Pennville last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kirby
and David of Summerville were
Sunday luncheon guests of his
mother, Mrs. Frances Kirby.

scheduled to undergo surgery
this week in Redmond Park
Hospital, send to him heartiest
wishes for a complete recovery.

with her grandparents, Mr. and

his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jimmie Peace. Their many
friends regret to learn of their
misfortune of having their
home destroyed by fire
recently and wish for them a
much happier future.
We are sorry to report that
Mrs. Cecil Peace had to enter
Chattooga County Hospital
Sunday and send to her wishes
for a speedy recovery.

spent the weekend with their
daughter and family, Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Venn and Tommy at
Dalton. Tommy celebrated his
11th birthday anniversary
Sunday and was happy to have
his grandparents help him
enjoy ice cream and cake. The
biggest thrill was camping out
in the camper with his grand
dad Saturday night.

Westbrook. Friends of Mr.

celebrated her third birthday
Saturday with a party. Among

refreshments consisting of
cake, cookies, punch, potato
chips, cupcakes and bubble
gum. Tonya received many
useful gifts. Tonya is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Bubba Willingham and the
granddaughter of Bill and Pat
Cromer of Summerville and
Marvine Willingham and the
late Blue Willingham of Sum
merville.
