Jack Finster was honored
with a birthday dinner Sunday
at the home of a sister, Mrs.
Betty Brown, at Valley Head,
Ala. Besides the honoree and
hosts those enjoying the dinner
were: Mrs. Jack Finster,
Leonard Allen Finster, Mrs.
Howard Finster, Mr. and Mrs.
Gary Brown and children, Alan
and Eddy Wilson, Mrs. Tilly
Schlichen, Mrs. Sue Cooper
and Emily and Mrs. Bernice
Crowe. Best wishes are sent to
Jack.

Groce who passed away last
week.
Mrs. John Marshall, Regina
and John K. were happy last
Tuesday when their husband
and father, S/Sgt. John
Marshall, arrived home to
spend the holidays with his

Everett Nix passed away
suddenly Friday. To his family

Taylor Laws in Valley Head
Sunday.

Parker. In the afternoon Mrs.
Sumner and Miss Jones
enjoyed a visit with Mr. and
Mrs. Raymond Fowler and
children at their home in
Subligna.

Chelsea Baptist Church
members gathered at the home
of the Rev. G. W. Rosson and
Mrs. Rosson Friday evening for
a Christmas supper. A large
group enjoyed the delicious
meal, singing and fellowship.
To Elbert Pledger who is in
a Chattanooga hospital we send
get-well wishes. Also, get-well

and Grady Tallent.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Petty
john visited Mrs. Tony Gill
who is in Floyd Medical Center
Friday. They also did some
shopping while in Rome.
Reba Gill visited Debbie Gill
at Floyd Medical Center Satur
day and later enjoyed lunch
with her brother, Boyd Gamer,
and Mrs. Garner at Morrison’s.
Mrs. Wayne Pettyjohn and
Michael visited Mrs. Johnny
Abernathy and Janis one night
last week while Mr. Abernathy
and Mr. Pettyjohn attended the
chain saw school.

Piano Recital
A piano recital was held
Nov. 27 at Oak Hill Methodist
Church near Lyerly.
Students of Robert Ellis
performed at the recital.
In the recital were Lynn
Jones, Kaye Gladney and Kelly
Reece.
Ellis also played at the
recital.
Refreshments followed the
event.

quarter from Auburn Uni
versity.
Herman Elliott Fletcher Jr.
of Summerville will receive a
B.E.E. degree and Richard
Jefferson Crawford of Trion
