held Sunday in the Naomi
community at Mount Zion
Baptist Church with Mrs.
Jeneal Shropshire bringing a
solo. The Rev. A. F. Morton is
the pastor.
G. C. Perry visited his sister,
Mrs. Jessie Mosley, and
family last week.
We congratulate Mr. and
Mrs. Morell Perkins who will
celebrate their 47th wedding
anniversary Dec. 16; Mr. and
Mrs. Spelmon Farmer Sr. who
will be celebrating their 46th
wedding anniversary Dec. 26;
and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Stubbs who will celebrate their
6th wedding anniversary Dec.

Golden Agers
Have Holiday
Celebration
Ihe Golden Agers Club of
Trion met Thursday for their
regular monthly meeting at the
Trion Community Center.
Mrs. Nell Nix, president of
the club, called the meeting to
order, and introduced the guest
speaker, the Rev. Robert
White, whose message was on
the “Birth of Christ.”
Afterwards a gift exchange
was enjoyed, followed by a
bountiful luncheon.
Attending were: the Rev.
and Mrs. White, Mrs. Maggie
Thomas, Mrs. Seaborn Baker,
Mrs. Inez Brown, Miss Annie
Mae Housch, Mrs. Margie
Haygood, Mr. and Mrs. Willie

Mrs. Everett (Mutt) Nix, and
