Present Christmas Program
Mrs. Barbara Clark’s fifth and sixth
grade reading classes this week
presented a Christmas program of
poems and songs to fellow students at
North Summerville Elementary. Par
ticipants included (front row, L-R)
Chelsea Bankston, Sherri Budges, Jerry
Allen, Troy Abernathy, Jerry Gary,
CARD OF THANKS
We would like to express our
appreciation to all who
assisted during the illness and
death of our loved one, Joseph
Walt Weaver. To Lane
Funeral Home, the singers'
comforting songs and James
W. Bus bin, Minister, and Carl
should be available to coun
ties and cities to broaden their
base of revenues and to ease
the burden of ad valorem taxa
tion on local taxpayers. If
found necessary or desirable,
a constitutional amendment
should be proposed to insure
the availability of this tax to
local governments.
The Board of Managers of
the Association made one
change in the recommenda
tions of the State Tax Reform
Commission by making it
mandatory that revenues
from a statewide sales tax be
used for tax reduction rather
than allowing it to be per
missive.
