visited Russell Farmer in
Brentwood Rest Home in
Rome during the weekend.
They also visited Mrs. Cin
dara Sanford and daughter
and Beever Harris.
The Rev. Charles Davis,
pastor of Oak Hill Baptist
Church, was honored with an
appreciation service Sunday
for the 16 years which he has
'pastored there. The Rev. H.D.
Caldwell, pastor of Mt. Zion
Baptist Church in Curryville
and Friendship Baptist
Church, Adairsville, and
members of his churches were
in charge of the morning ses
sion and the Rev. James
Dallas, pastor of Mt. Bethel
Baptist Church, Lyerly, and
Prospect Baptist in the West
Armuchee community,
LaFayette, and members of
these churches were in charge
of the afternoon service the
Rev. W.W. Benton of
LaFayette filled in as host
pastor for the Rev. Davis.

visited Miss Sherry Shrop
shire last weekend. Miss
Shropshire is home from
Jacksonville, Fla., for a vaca
tion.

program in Rome Sunday
night at Wright s Ware Tem
ple church given in honor of
the pastor.
Mr. and Mrs. Harmon
Tubbs and family visited Mr.
and Mrs. George Hammonds
last week. Mr. Hammond was
admitted to Floyd Medical
Center Saturday.
Mrs. Mary Tubbs was din
ner guest of Mrs. Louise Hin
ton in Summerville Friday.
