Revenue Sharing
Budget Hearing
T'o Be Set Soon
The second hearing concer
ning the county's revenue
sharing budget will be set in
the next two to three weeks,
according to County Attorney
Arch Farrar Jr,
At that hearing, the coun
ty will announce how it plans
to use over $230,000 in federal
revenue-sharing funds.
The hearing was originally
set to be held 10 days after the
Dec. 14 hearing, where
various group representatives
voiced their opinions how the
funds should be used.
However, due to the holidays
the budget has not been com
pleted. A notice will be
printed in The News telling
the date of the second hearing,
said Farrar,
This year's federal funding
is estimated to be $231,201 for
the entitlement period which
began Oct. 1 and will continue
through Sept. 30.
