Delbert Barr
Delbert Battles Barr, 40, a
resident of 13 Raymond St
Summerville, passed away
Saturday, Jan 12 at 3:45 a m.
Mr Barr was born in Chat
tooga County Nov. 2, 1939,
son of Mrs. Thelma M. Barr
and the late Robert W. Barr,
He was a textile worker
and a Baptist by faith
Surviving are his mother,
Mrs Thelma M. Barr of Sum
merville, two sisters, Mrs
Bobbie Lively of Lyerly and
Mrs Frankie Mae Reynolds of
Summerville, four brothers,
Robert Barr Jr of Trion and
Gwynne Barr. Ronald Barr
and Donald Barr, all of Sum
merville, and several nieces,
nephews, aunts and uncles,
Funeral services were held
Sunday, Jan, 13, at 2 p.m
from the chapel of Erwin

11:30 pm.in a local hospital.
Mrs. Brewer was born in

24, 1910, daughter of the late
Billy Stallings and Bessie
Meadlock Stafiings
Mrs Brewer was a member
of the Lverly Methodist
Church,
She was preceded in death
by her husgund. Arthur C.
Brewer.

Mrs. Hemphill had been a
resident of Chattooga County
since 1945 and was a Seventh
Day Advenust by faith
Mrs. Hemphill was preced
od mn desth by a daughter,
Mrs. Vera Gates, in 1970 and
a son, lra Venson Hemphiil
March 1, 1975

Friday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m, from
the Trion Community Church
with the Rev. J T. Suttle and
other ministers officiating.
Nieces were flowerbearers
and grandsons pallbearers.
Interment was in Allgood

Wednesday morning, Jan. 9,
in a Rome hospital
Mr. Meeler was born in
Flovd County July 21, 1915,
son of Mrs. Ruth Owens
Meeler and the late Charlie
Meecler
He was a veteran of World
War 11 and retired service sta
tion attendant.
Survivors include two
sons, Harold and Tommy
Meeler both of Rome; four
daughters, Mrs. Jackie Casey
and%d rs. Kathy Reese, both of
Rome, Mrs. Ruth White of
Summerville, and Mrs. Diane
Hartline of Tavlorsville; seven
sisters, Mary Lee Schakleford
of Wavne, C Mich., P. Dean
Cox of Corbin, Ky., Bonnie
Caudill of Summerville, Faye
Martin of Houston, Texas,
Irene Hodge of Corbin, Ky,
Sybil Cox of Summerville and

his mother, Mrs., Ruth Owens
