INDIAN INJURED ON THIS PLAY
in the third quarter the score
was 14-7 Cedartown.
The chain of events which
proved the Indians undoin
came on the ensuing kickog
when the Indian fumbled at
their own 35. The Bulldogs
drove to the Indian 5 where
they fumbled. The break was a
big one for the Indians but
they failed to capitalize on it
as they fumbled it right back
on the first play at the 5. The
Bulldogs drove it right in for
an insurance tally. A 3-yard
run by Buddy McKibben was
the score. And with 11:56 left
in the game the score was
21-1.
The Indians weren't dead
yet, as they drove from their
own 22 to the Cedartown 4
before losing the ball on
downs. Big play in the drive
was 3 pass completions by
Ludy good for 35 yards. It
was on the dive that the fight
erupted. The Indians halts a
fourth and a long one at the 9.
The play was a handoff, off
left Lacfile to Darry Evans
who was stacked up right at
the first down marker. A
Cedartown player got over
zealous and promptly picked
Evans up and b(xg/ slammed
him to the turf. That was
where the fight erupted which
took 15 minutes to quell and
to restore order. After the
order was restored, 3 players
had been ejected, the Pndians
were given a first down for un
necessary roughness and also
were penalizecfback to the 19
for unsportsmanlike conduct.
From tfiere the Indians were
only able to move the ball to
the 7 where they lost it on
downs.
The Indians got another
scoring later in the game,
recovering a Bulldog fumble
at the (‘.e‘fiartown 43, but fail
ed to capitalize on the
mistake.
The Indians host Car
