DEATHS
Robert Bulman
Robert Simeon Bulman,
79, a resident of Summerville,
passed away Tuesday morn
ing, Nov. 18, at 2:05 in a local
hos&iul.
r. Bulman was born in
Chattooga county on May 19,
1901, son of the late Joseph E.
Bulman and Martha Palmer
Bulman.
He was a retired textile
worker. He was a member of
Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Bulman was fireceded
in death by his wife, Reo Hall
Bulman, in 1967, and a
daugher, Dorothy Rodgers, in
1965.
Surviving are his two
brothers, K%l]y Bulman of
Summerville and L. W.
Bulman of Trion; and one
nephew, John K. Bulman of
Woodstock.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 3:30
.m. from the chapel of Erwin-
Betitt Funeral Home with the
Rev. Frank Lewis and the
Rev. A.C. Davis officiating.
Interment was in Howefil
Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were
James King, Harvey Hut
chins, Fred Elall. Jimmy Hall,
Gene Junkins and C.C.
Landers.
Honorary pallbearers were
Joe Hix, gh'n Hix, Charles
Logan, Robert Fulmer, Den

Mrs. Maude Hood
Gilreath, 73, a resident of
Route 3, Summerville,
g‘assed away Friday morning,
ov. 21, at her residence.
Mrs. Gilreath was born in
Gadsden, Ala., on Sept. 26,
1907, daughter of the late
William A. Hood and Muggie
McWhorter Hood.
She was a member of New
H(Hae North Baptist Church
and a retired store operator.
Surviving are her husband,
Fafi'_ H. G Ireath; son, Dorman
Gilreath of Route 3, Summer
ville; grandson, Kenneth
Gilreath of Rossville; sister,

Pursuant to Ga. Laws 1956, pg. 2899, as
amended by Ga. Laws 1977, pg. 3865 notice is
hereby given by the Commissioner of Chattooga
County, Georgia, that sealed bids will be received
by the Commissioner on December 5, 1980, at
10:15 o'clock a.m. EST in the office of the Com
missioner, Chattooga County Courthouse, Sum
merville, Georgia. Said bids must be sealed and
the words ""Sealed Bid"" written across the outside
of the envelope and received by the Commis
sioner of Chattooga County on or before
December 5, 1980, at which time and place the
bids will be opened.
Bids shall be received for the purchase by
Chattooga County, Georgia, of:
1. One new track-type Dozer.
2. One new hydraulic scraper (pan).
The exact specifications for said equipment
may be secured from the office of the Commis
sioner of Chattooga County, Chattooga County
Courthouse, Summerville, Georgia, on or after
November 17, 1980. The bids on both equipment
Shall include any alternatives or accessories
available which shall be listed separately from the
base bid. Said bid shall include delivery to the
Chattooga County Landfill at Route 2, Penn
Bridge Road, Summerville, Georgia. Bids shall be
designated for the purchase by Chattooga Coun
ty, Georgia, at a specific price and as an alter
native option a lease purchase agreement with the
period of said purchase designated annually from
one to four years and shall include all destination
charges, delivery and expenses.
Payment will be made by the Commissioner
upon the alternative selected of either payment in
full or according to the terms of the lease pur
chase agreement designated in the bid.
This invitation to bid is being adve i'sed
simultaneously with a notice for bids for the
private operation and contract of the Chattooga
County Landfill and this invitation to bid in no way
binds the Commissioner to purchase said equip
ment but shall constitute as an alternative with
the private operation by the Commijssioner.
The Commissioner reserves the right to accept
or reject any and all bids.

Mrs. Whisnant was born in
Selma, Ala., on March 1, 1893,
daufhwr of the late John D.

‘ She was a member of Sum
merville Presbyterian Church
and was very active in the
Cherokee Presbyterial and the
women's work in the church.
Mrs. Whisnant and her
late husband, John B. Whis
nant Sr., were owners and
%perators of the North
eorgia Fruit Farms in Sum
merville for a number of years
prior to retirement.
Surviving in addition to
her daughter is one son, John
Black Whisnant Jr., of
Dalton; seven grandchildren;
and seven great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Friday, Nov. 21, at 3 g).m.
from the graveside in Sum
