FIBER IN DIET
Paulette Ybarra, food and
nutrition specialist with the
Extension &:vice. says anim
portant diet change a health
conscious person can make is
to replace refined or fiber
depleted foods with fiber-rich
foods. She says there are
several ways to do this. You
can switch to whole grain or
high-fiber breakfast cereals
and whole grain or whole
wheat flours. And you can eat
more vegetables, especially
dried beans and legumes, and
more fresh fruit.
