Friends of Mr. and Mrs.
T.J. Coley were deeply sad
dened to learn that T.J. had
passed away in Floyd Medical
Center in Rome early Monday
morning with a heart attack.
Heartfelt sympathy is given
to Agnes and their families.
Mrs. Julia Gray visited her
daughter, Mrs. Emma Lee
Ridley, in Tri-County
Hospital, Fort Oglethorpe,
Sunday. Later they visited
with Mr. Ridley and family.
A quick recovery is wished
for Ralph (Ton) Holt who

Hospital, Rome, Monday for
tests and treatment.
Miss Rhonda Blalock of
Collinsville, Ala., and Mrs.
Wanda Wilkes and Marcus of
Fyffe, Ala., were Saturday
guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. L.
Hogue.
Mrs. Bobby Helms left
during the weekend, via plane,
for Manhatten, Kan., where
she will be the guest of Mrs.
Steve Helms while her hus
band, Sgt. Steve Helms, is on

Clarence Combs was feted
with a retiring party hosted
by his co-worker in the Spinn
ing Department recently
when he completed 37 years of,
merited employment in
various departments of the
Grey Mill. Mr. Combs was

with a retirement plaque.

deeply shocked and grieved
last weekend to learn of the
~unexpected death of Mrs.
Virginia Harris who passed
away Tuesday morning, Sept.
8. Sincere sympathy is ex

Gravitt, and their families.
A Pralyer Retreat of the
WMU will be held at Camp

Wins Several Honors
Katharine Parris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
“Red"” Parris of Summerville, competed recently in
Atlanta and was selected as the ‘‘Most Beautiful Girl”
as well as photogenic. According to a report, this is the
first time that a contestant has been selected for both
honors. She also won the overall queen of the pageant.
She received a ‘little People’’ adopted boy doll. In
November Katharine will enter Miss Movie Star to
compete for different ruhlicil,y shots, pin-ups, and to
enter Gallery of Models.
