Bankston Honored
Karen Bankston of Summerville (left), a recent
graduate of Chattooga High, was the recent recgfient
of the first annuefi Floyd Junior College Black
Awareness Society Scholarshifi. FJC Assistant Pro
fessor of Speech, Judy Sims, who serves as an advisor
to the stugg::t organization, presents the scholarship
to Karen. Karen will be atten£ng Floyd Junior College
in the fall. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse

The Lyerly Homemakers
met Tuesday night, June 8,
for the monthly meeting at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Kimbell.
The meeting was called to
