11 To 14 Winners
A fishing rodeo was held at the James H. “‘Sloppy’’
Floyd State Park Saturday. Those winning in the age
11 to 14 division were (L-R) Chris Humphrey and Jeff
Purcell. Also winning but not shown is Amanda
Hogue. Prizes were given in each age division and all
the youngsters and adults were treated to
refresfiments following the fishing rodeo.

voting more accessible to
Georgians with Ehysical han
dicaps. Poythress said
Georgia should take the lead
nationally in providing barrier
free voting access for citizens
with disabilities.
He said the workshop pro
fram could become a model
or other states to follow.
The first worksho%. entitl
ed, “Voting and the Election
Process,” will be held Satur
day, June 26, from 2 p.m. until
4 p.m., at the Atlanta Area
School for the Deaf in
Clarkston. Co-sponsors are
the Secretary of gtate's office,
the Special School of the
Future Project at the Atlanta
Area School for the Deaf, and
the Georgia Association of the
Deaf.
At the worksho&:s. people
will become familiar with
votins machines and vote
recorders, take part in a mock
registration, and learn the
voting process in a ste;;-by
step manner. A mock polling
place will be set up at the June |
26 session to give participants
real-life experience in voting.
More workshops will be ar
ranged at a later time.

The James H. “Slopp{” Floyd State Park was the set
ting Saturday for a fishing rodeo. Those youngsters
winninf the age 6 and below division were (L-R) J os%fih
McCauley, Brandon Croy and Richard Ramirez. The
winners were presented rods or rods and reels.

Those youngsters winning the age 7 to 10 division
were (L-R) Timmy Crossan, Mark Cooper and Brian
Jenkins. Prizes were given in each age (‘fi)vision for the
first fish caught, the most fish caught and the biggest
fish caught.
