With school out for the summer, Mrs.
Elliott King came up with an idea for
entertaining youngsters — a formal din
ner party. Mrs. King recently gave one of
the parties in honor of her grand
dauggters and Danica Hansen, who is
visiting from out-of-town. Those atten
ding were (in no certain order) Erin and
Megan Sayler, Kristen Cheeseman, An
drea and Allison Pullen, Mary Beth and
Ellen Lee, Danica Hansen and Karianna

Dellenback. The youngsters enjoyed
dressing up and were treated to a ‘‘Rag
gedy Ann galad.” The salad consisted of
carrot strips for hair, boiled egg for a
face, asparagus for the arms, a tomato
half for the body, olive slices for buttons,
chicken salad and lettuce for the skirt
and almonds for the feet. Dessert was
clown ice cream with M&M's for the
eyes, candy corn for the nose and red
hots for the mouth.

story hour Tuesday morning,
June 29, beginning at 10:30.
Mrs. Suzie Mee of New
York, formerly of Chattooga
Count{l. will be conductin? tfie
story hour. The topic will be
about a mask maker — how
you feel on the inside and act
on the outside.
Mrs. Mee has had a
number of articles and poems
published and is currently
writing a novel. She par
ticipates in a program in New
York “poets in schools’” where
writers assist students in
school.
All youngsters ages 5 to 10
are invited to attend.

Cloer as manager. A horse sale
will be held at 2 p.m. followed
by another horse show (with
the same classes as Friday) at
6 p.m. At the close of the
horse show, Miss Appalachian
Wagon Train and Little Miss
Appalachian Wagon Train

Friday’s activities begin at
10 a.m. with a drawing and
bingo at 1 p.m. A parade in
downtown Chatsworth will be
held at 4:30 F.m. with Sen.
Matt Mattingly as the Grand
Marshal. A parade of wagons
will be helcr at 6 p.m. The
following classes wi]f be judg
ed and trophies awarded: best
team to wagon, most pioneer
wagon and family, best mat
ched team to wagon, best
single rig — buggy, best team
(horses and wagon), best team
(harness and wagon), and best
mule team to wagon. A horse
show will be held at 7 p.m.
Breakfast at 6 a.m. will
begin Saturday’s activities
fol%owed by Bingo at 7 a.m.
The wagon train hits the road
at 8 a.m. with a lunch stop at
noon and returns to the club
house at 4:30 p.m. A horse
show begins at 6 p.m. and in
cludes a one-hour gorse.sale.
