Congress met at the Baptist
Headquarters in
Chickamauga last Fridaf'. At

O.J. Jordan, pastor at New
Bethel, and moderator.

goes to the family of Mrs.
Delia Covington who was
buried last Friday.

Maxine Benson and Mrs.
Joyce Price spent Father’s
Day in Marietta with Mr. and
Mrs. John Hall and family,

and family, Mrs. Frankie

Miss Wanda Evans was
home for Father’s Dz:iy with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Willie Evans Sr., and her
brothers and their families.
Mrs. Ruth Hoskins and
granddaughter, Latoshia Lee,
spent Saturday evening with
Mrs. Louvenia Smith.
Mr.. and Mrs. Dewey
Hoskins and Latoshia were in
Lyerly Saturday night
visiting Mrs. Hoskins’' aunt,
Mrs. Vaddie Lee Perry, who
had returned home from Chat
tooga County Hospital.
Mrs. Mildreg Morton
visited Mrs. Nellie Stallings
last Thursday evening.
Mrs. Mamie R. Vaughn
celebrated her 80th birthday
anniversary Sunday, June 13,
at the home of her son,
Charles Vaughn Sr., and Mrs.
Vaughn with a surprise birth
day dinner.
After dinner the guests en
joyed homemade cake and ice
cream. The cake was made by
her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jim
mie Vaughn. Mrs. Vaughn
received many nice gifts.
Guests included: Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Vaughn Sr., Mr.
and Mrs. James W. Brown,
Alissia and Nakia, Mrs.
Elaine Wigfiins. Johannes,
Kiera and Erika, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Pender, Craig,
Charles Jr., Minnie and Reto
Adams and Will Williams.
Mrs. Mamie also received a
phone call from her grand
daughter, Mrs. Orange Evans
Jr., in Sarasota, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Vaughn Sr. visited Richard
Long and Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Cunningham in Rome
Saturday evening.
The Jordonaires attended
the 14th anniversary Iprogram
of the Lindley Gospel Singers
in Acworth Sunday.
Devisha Body, 21-month
old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Amizah Body of Rome, is
recovering nicely at home
from an auto accident in
which she was run over by her
father. Devisha is the niece of
Mrs. Jimmie Vaughn.
