Vacation Bible School was
held last week at Trion First
Baptist Church with an
aveuse of 100 in attendance
each day. Approximately 30
adults, assisted by the youth
of the church, served as direc
tors and teachers with Mrs.
Paula Bowers as V.B.S. Direc

Miss Mary Jo Logan visited
Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Fletcher
in North Trion at their lovely

Farmer returned home Friday
after visiting his niece and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Pack, of Antioch, 111., where
they experienced some very
chilly weather with the
temperature dropping to a
crisp 43 degrees one morning.

During the five-day ses
sion, participants spent 30
classroom hours in the In
stitute course of study, which
is designed to assist voluntary
organization executives im
prove the knowledge and
gkills necessary to enhance
the effectiveness of their
organization. The Institute
curriculum includes
coursework in management
philosophy, interpersonal pro
cesses, government, law and
organization structure; as well
as in more contemporary
issues such as economic and
environmental concerns. Each
participant may attend pro
gressive levels of the program
throughout his/her profes
sional career.

Brown Named
Angela Marie Brown,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Oliver Lee Brown of Trion,
has been named to the Sprinfi
Buarter Dean's List at Nort
eorgia College. To be
selected a student must have
a 3.5 grade-point average
while taking 15 quarter-hours
of courses.
North Georgia College is
the senior military college of
Georgia and one of the
nation's four recognized
military institutions.

distinguished authorities in
their fields. Additional
courses are led by top-level
Chamber of Commerce ex
ecutives, making the faculty
unique in its depth and range
of knowledge and experience.
