Miss Bray will be a 1983
graduate of Armuchee High
chool. She is employed with
Piggly Wiggly on Calhon
Avenue in Rome.
The bride-elect is the sister
of Tina Bray and Pam Bray,
both of Armuchee. Her grand

unter of Armuchee, W. H.
Dixon of Yuba City, Calif.,
Mrs. Pearl Bray of Armuchee
and the late Howard P. Bray.

Marcia Anne Thomason of
Memphis, Tenn., became the
bride of Mark Byron Wade of
Memhpis, Tenn., Saturday,
Aug. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the
sanctuary of First Baptist
Church of Crlvstal River, Fla.
Dr. PhilliJ) Slate of Memphis
performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of the Rev. and Mrs. L. B.
Thomason of Crystal River.
She is the granddaughter of
Mrs. Frank Thomason of
Summerville, and the late Mr.
Thomason.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. George B.
Wade of Nashville, Tenn.
~ Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gowrt
of white organdy and im
ported Venice lace. A lavishly
appliqued lace Empire bodice
was fashioned with a portrait
neckline and brief lace cap
sleeves. Lace motifs adorned
the A-line skirt and delicate
lace bordered the chapel train.
The waltz-length veS of illu
sion was secured to a lace and
gearl headFiece. She carried a
bouquet of white orchids and
ivy.
The bride wore an heirloom
fiendant of gold and Baroque
iver pearls which belonged
to her paternal grandmother.
The gord pendant was in the
shape of a daisy with the
pearls as petals. The pendant
was a iift to her granSmother
from her late grandfather
before their wedding.
The altar of the church
sanctuary was decorated with
ferns, palms and candelabra.
A kneeling bench had a
cascade of white flowers. The
aisles of the church were
decorated with 46 pew

contained the Dendy family
Bible dating to the bride’s
great-great-great Bpaternal
grandparents. The Bible was
opened to the family record
with the first entry dated
Nov. 25, 1780.
The nuptial music was pro
vided by Mrs. Edith Mat
thews, organist of First Bap
tist Church. Shellie Hinson
and Julie Wilcox of Crystal
River played the harpsichord
zgxd flute. Mrs. Donna Imbt of
rystal River was vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a
reception was given by the
bride’'s parents in the Grand
Ballroom of The Plantation.
After a wedding trip in Cen
tral Florida, the couple will
make their home in Memphis,
Tenn.
Local residents who at
tended the wedding were Mrs.
Frank Thomason, grand
mother of the bride; Mrs. Will
Stephenson, Mrs. Billy Petitt,
Miss Cindy Petitt of Summer
ville and Miss Lillie Dendy of
Rome.
