Do Away With ‘Hell’
Dear Editor:
One reads and hears so much about our
need, from some sources, for more armament,
while other sources are all out for disarma
ment,
The question that comes to mind; can we,
safely, rid ourselves of these nuclear
monstrosities?
Charge Admission To Corpsewood
Dear Editor,
In reference to James Budd's ‘‘Dialogue’
of March 17, “Murder at Corpsewood, the
Saga of Chatt,ooia County’s Devil-Worshiper
Slayings" only three dollars, eh? How about
selling T-shirts or buttons and bumper
stickers that say, ‘‘l'm from Chattooga: 'Fhe
Corgsewood County!”
etter yet, why don't ya'll pitch in and buy
the estate and tours at, say, three dollars a
head? You could even lay two Department
Store Dummys in the exact same spots
where the REAL bodies were found!!
The least ya’'ll could do is have West and
Lowrance autograph copies of their mug
shots and inclugl(; them with the newsletter
at, saK, 10 dollars??
While ya'll are at it, ya'll could dig up the
files from the Billy Copeland murder and see
how that would sell??
Take a long, hard look at what you're do
ing guys.

P.S. I bet you won'’t print this.
Dear Mr. Riley: I don’t know what business or
profession you are in, but my Erofession is
writing. The more interesting the to%ic. the
more interesting it is for me to write about it.
There’s certain?y tons of interest about the
recent double-murder in Chattooga County.
World War I 1 was tragic; does that mean no
Mountain Echoes ...
Well, he turned his head and spit in
to a corner, right on the floor. Grandpa,
being the kind of man he was, didn’t say
anything. He just got up and moved one
of the spittoons to the exact spot where
the man had spit, thinking he would
take the hint. He didn’t. He turned again

writer should write about it? If making
money on a tratgedfy bothers you, then let me
offer this bit of information: Next to air con
ditioning salesmen in Alaska, writers are the
most underpaid workers in this country. Out
of all the thousands of writers, there are only
a few Norman Mailers, Ernest Hemingways
and Thomas Wolfes, etc. You hear about tg;e
few writers who make it big, but what you
and most people don't realize is the remain
ing 99.9 percent of this profession live day

maybe air conditioning salesmen in Alaska

last place the man had hit.
The man then eyeballed grandpa and
said, ‘‘Sheriff, if you don’t keep that
thing out of the way, I'm going to spit in

FLORISTS' HYDRANGEA
One of the most colorful
and delightful Easter gifts is
the florists’ hydranEea. The
large clusters of pink or blue
flowers can bright,en up most
any room. An added feature of
the florists’ hydrangea is that
it.can be planted out-of-doors
after the ffi)wers begin to fade.
Careful site selection is im-
Eortant when moving
ydrangeas outside. Florists'
hydrangea does not tolerate
hot dry locations very well.
They prefer Ylartially shaded
areas although they do not do
well -in full shade. A well
drained location is essential.
With florists’ hydrangea
one has a choice regarding the
flower color. Depending on
soil aciditfi'. the flowers are
either Ein or blue. In acid
soils they are blue and in
alkaline pink.
To ogt.ain blue flowers if
pink flowers have been the
normal, add one-fourth cu(!) of
sulfur to the soil surrounding
the i)lant. Spread the sulfur
evenly around the plant from
outside the drip line into the
trunk of the plant. Gently
work the sulfur into the soil
with a rake or hoe. To obtain
?ink flowers where blue
lowers have been the normal,
add one cup of agricultural
limestone per three feet plant.
The lime sgould be distriguted
as was the sulfur and then

WHAT DOCUMENTS WILL
MY FAMILY NEED AT
THE TIME OF MY DEATH?
One of the most
frustrating responsibilities
of a spouse or family, at
time of death, can be that of
locating important papers
and documents. A current
and updated listing of these
papers can, indeed, be a
benefit to survivors.
This is a difficult activity
for anyone to do because no
one really wants to an
ticipate death or even
prepare for it. On the other
hand, you would be doing a
real service to your family if
you follow through on this.
Make a list of your
documents, indicating
where each is.
The type of such papers
and documents, along with
location, might include: 1)
your will, 2) Social Security
papers, Veterans records, 3)
cemetery deed, 4) insurance
policies, 5) such certificates
as birth, marriage, organiza
tion and/or union member
ship, educational, military 6)
bank accounts and safety
deposit boxes, 7) financial
papers such as mortgages,
contracts, promissory
notes, negotiable papers,
stocks, bonds, trust funds,
8) all recent tax returns or
W 2 forms.
Sometimes this informa
tion turns up information
about assets either forgot
ten about or not known of
by the survivors.
