Couple To Perform
Ray and Ella Darby will be rovidinF the pre-show
entertainment at t¥\e secomf “Charlie Lowri' Pro
Rodeo” this weekend. Darby is a full-blooded
American Indian from the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.
The couple’s ministry has carried them to auditoriums
with many of the well-known gospel concert frm?s
and to the Grand Ole Opry. They recently completed a
tour through Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia,
where they performed at the Royal Easter Show of
Sydney.

hursday, April 6-7, someone
had broken into his residence.
Entry into the residence
had apparently been gained
by breaking in a front door.
Reportedly taken from the
house was a Panasonic stereo
consisting of an AM/FM
cassette recorder/plah'er with
turntable and Archer FM
booster. The stereo unit was
valued at $528.

The three-day rodeo will be
held under the covered arena
and Erandstand at the Lowry
ranch in the Gore Community.
Rodeo times are 8 S.m. Friday
and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m.

A rodeo parade will be held
tomorrow, April 15, in
downtown Summerville begin
ning at 5 p.m. The parade will
begin at the Summerville
Junior High School, travel
north on U.S. Highway 27
once through town and dis
band at the Piggly Wiggly
parking lot. All area horsemen
are invited to participate in
the parade. Youngsters are

wrestling and girls’ barrel rac
ing.
The rodeo arena is located
three miles east of Highwn({
27 on the Dirttown Road,
south of Summerville. To
reach the rodeo from Summer
ville travel Highway 27 south
across Taylor's Rngge. turn
left onto the second paved
road and continue on that
road to the rodeo arena. Signs
will be posted along the Dirt
town Road to assist motorists
in locating the arena.
