The Bike-a-Thon was a
great success with 34 riders
participating, several riding
most of the day Saturday,
April 16, collecting very good
proceeds which went to the
Cystic Fibrosis Drive.- Con
gratulations go to each rider
and to all that participated in
this worthy cause.

Aide To Visit
Seventh District Con
gressman Larry McDonald
announced today that a
member of his staf}; will be in
Trion Thursday, April 21, to
provide assistance to local
residents.
Rep. McDonald said a
member of his staff will be at
the Trion City Hall from 2 un
til 4 p.m. Thursday to assist
Chattooga County residents
with issues such as Social
Security and Veterans Ad
ministration programs, as
well as listening to their con
cerns about national affairs.
Menlo Council
Mulls Mosquito
Problem
The Menlo City Council
held a brief meeting last Tues
day night, April 12, with only
routine matters discussed.
The council tentatively ap
proved for the mosquito
spraying to begin the first
week in May. The mosquito
sprayer, mounted on a truck,
will travel throughout the city
spraying.
The council also approved
the fertilizing and seeé]ing of
the city park.
