INDUCTION COOKING
the Tangp, 109 Iwt IES
‘ range t
tion cooking units. This in
novative cooktop offers con
sumers benefits and features
m available on standard elec
or gas cooktops.
The units cook by creating
heat in the cookware itself; the
utensil then transmits fl:fi‘
the food. There is no or
hot metal element to retain
heat or cause burns, although,
of course, the pan is as hot as
it normall’{hewould be when
cooki:g. induction coil
resro s immediately to con
trol changes so there is
minimal heat-up or cool-down
time when cooking.
Cleaning is easier than
with conventional cooktops
because the smooth glass over
the induction coils has no
crevices to trap spills, And
since it only gets hot from the
heat of the pan, spatters don’t
burn on.
For those who often
remove pans from the burners
and forget to turn them off, in
duction units offer another
plus. When the pan is remov
ed, the cooking unit
automatically stop heating
and the control panel flashes
to remind the cook to turn the
control to OFF. If the pan is
put back on the cookinmcirch
within 10 minutes, it will start
to heat up again. After 10
minutes the control turns off.
To resume cooking, the ON
g:d and power setting must
» touched again.
