CHS Scholar Bowl Team In
Top Four Of Two-State Region

Tennessee as comgetition goes
into its final round of the year.
The team has risen to the
tolf of a field of 32 schools
which have participated in the
scholar bowl tournaments
hosted by WTCI-TV Channel
45, in Chattanooga since
September. The final round will
be played April 23 when Chat
tooga will compete for the
championship against the
Chattanooga area schools of

Since the 1986 WTCI ““Toss
lfi:" comgetition began last
fall, the Chattooga students
have defeated the teams of
Chattanooga Valley, Red
Bank, Central and Ooltewah.

Lane Hosmer, Patrick Payne,
Steve Giglio, Jeff Greenway,
Daniel Collins and alternate
Judd Simmons.

drew attention and respect
from other schools by creatin,
formidable winning record anfi

outside reading and classroom
learning have made the CHS
team strong.

rounded and well-read,” she
stated.

Benny Perry of Trion was

ris in 1983 to advise the gover
nor and General Assembly on
