The people of Trion, Sum
merville and the surrounding
areas will have an opportunity
on Easter Sunda{ morning to
see a full-size tomb scaled after
the one discovered in 1867 in
Jerusalem and believed to be
the sepulcher in which Jesus
was buried after His
crucifixion.

morning by Dr. James Ander
son, assistant pastor of the
church. Dr. Anderson has

Anderson'’s talent as a ventrilo

vorite sidekick ‘“Harry” to
help tell the Easter story to the
combined Sunday School
classes.
During the 11 a.m. service
Dr. L. W. Nichols, the pastor,
will speak on the subject,
“Where Is He?”

Women Meet
The Oak Hill United
Methodist Women will have

Mrs. Ruth Cook will be the
guest speaker. Mrs. Cook,
along with others with the
Carpenters for Christ Mission
Program, went on a trip to
Tanzania, SE Africa Jan. 17
and staf'ed for two weeks.
While there, Mrs. Cook

Macon area. Mrs. Cook will
give a slide presentation and
she will have pictures of her
trip.
Softball
Tournament
Starts April 4
A county-wide softball tour
nament open to all teams will
be held;\afirfl 4, 5 and 6 at the
Lyerly field. The 12-team
tournament will have double
beefimma‘;r;iwds. Theredwill

dividual troxhies or the winn
ing team. A ‘““Most Valuable
Player” trophy will also be
awarded.
The entry fee for the tour
nament is $75. A concession
stand will be oHlen durinfi the
tournament selling hot dogs,
hamburgers and barbeque.
The event is sponsored by
the Mudcats softball team. For
