IN CONCERT
Miss Angela Whaley, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin C.
Whaley, will be performing in
a concert Sunday, April 13, at
7:30 p.m. at Summerville First
Baptist Church. Miss Whaley
is a 1980 graduate of Chat
tooga High School and a 1984
graduate of Shorter College
where she received a bachelor
of music degree in voice perfor
mance. She resides in Atlanta
where she is assistant director
of activities — music specialist
at Northside Convalescent
Center, and director of music at
Ballground Baptist Church.
The concert will contain selec
tions from Amy Grant, Sandi
Patti and various other con
temporary artists. The concert
is free to the public, and
everyone is invited to attend.

brightness and the movement
of the comet away from the
earth will make viewing verl\i

million miles on this Thursday,

In an effort to provide Tri-
State residents with one more
opportunity to observe the ob
ject, the Walker County,
Georgia Science Center and the
UTC Physics and Astronomy
Department will again offer a
general public observing ses
sion. The location will be the
Recreation Area of the
Chickamauga National Park.
Between 12:00 midnight and
3:00 o'clock Saturday momin%
April 12, staff members of eac
facility will have telescopes and
binoculars available for use. A
rain date will not be scheduled.
