Investing in a Farmers and Merchants Bank Individual Retirement
Account is the sensible way to save for retirement and get the most
for your hard earned dollars. An IRA allows you to invest up to $2,000
annually and not pay taxes on that money (or the high interest you
earn) until you begin withdrawing from your account.
You have until April 15, 1986 to invest and save on your 1985 taxes.

NRA Position
Seventh District Con
gessman Geo&ge “Budd{"
arden said Wednesday he
plans to vote for a measure
supKorted by the National Ri
fle Association to weaken gun
control restrictions brought
about in 1968 after the
assassinations of Martin
Luther King and Robert
Kennedér.
* Darden said the 1968
legislation is too restrictive on
gun owners and he elans to
sufi)port the McClure-Volkmer
bill in a House vote that was
expected to come up for a vote
late Wednesdaf' or Thursday.
The 1968 legislation has
been criticized for infringin%on
the rights of gun owners while
failing to keep guns out of the
hands of criminals.
The McClure-Volkmer bill
would allow for interstate sales
of handguns and in some cases
void state and local laws pro
hibiting gun owners from
transporting guns.
