Dalton Receives Sports Award
Robert Wayne *“Robby” Dalton has received the Most
Spirited award from Coach Sam Niemeire of the Georgia
School For the Deaf in Cave Sprinf. Neimeire stated
that the younf athlete demonstrated exceptional sport
smanship and excellent abilities in football. Dalton is
also involved in wei%hlifting and is a member of the
GSD Varsity Track Team. He plans a career with the
U. S. Postal Service upon graduation. He is the son of
Kenneth and Susie Dalton of Trion.

quicentennial Commission is
conducting the contest and is
offering two cash prizes of SIOO
each for the best slogan and
logo.
Participants should draw
up their logo on a piece of pager
measuring 82 by 11 inches
(standard size) and write their
slo%ans for the celebration on
a 3 by 5 inch post card and mail
the entry to: Sesauicentennial
Commission, P. O. Box 1988,
Summerville, GA 30747,

Weapons Theft
Investigated
A Holland area resident
reported the theft of two
weapons to the county sheriff's
office.
Jerry Worsham reported
Monday that two weapons
were stolen from his Hofiand
area residence between April 5
and April 14.
The incident is under
investigation.
