rescue squad are also selling
tickets to the Fort Mountain
Boys Concert at the Gore Com
munity Center May 24. Tickets
are $3.50 for adults and $2 for
children. Proceeds from the
concert will also go towards the
Life Pak 5 F'un(fo Tickets may
be purchased from any
employee of E.M.S. or any
member of the civil defense and
rescue squad. Tickets are also
on sale atthe ambulance ser
vice and several merchants in
the county are also selling
tickets.
The material to build the
thermometer at Ambulance
Service was donated by Bryant
and Sons Lumber Co. The
gaint was donated by
handler’s Ace Hardware.
The Life Pak 5 costs ap
proximately $8,000.00 Anyone
wanting to make a donation
may do so by coming by the
Ambulance Service or by mail
in%your donations to Life Pak
5 Fund, P. O. Box 211, Sum
merville, Ga. 30747.
You may also give your
donation to any employee of
Ambulance Service or member
of the Civil Defense and Rescue
Squad.

Funds Needed For Equipment
The Chattooga County Emergency Medical Service is
in need of an important piece of life saving efluipment,
the Life Pak 5 (,pardiac Monitor and Defibrillator. The
portable device provides an instant electronic diagnosis
of heart conditions and can be used to resuscitate l\ga
tients in cardiac arrest. The Chattooga County EMS,
along with the Chattooga County Civil Defense and
Rescue Squad, is in the process of raising SB,OOO to pur
chase the eguipment. According to the “‘thermometer”’
at the EMS on U. S. Hwy. 27, funds are just starting
to come in toward this %oal. Pictured from left to ri%ht

com%ex. The table was gresented in honor of Mayor
