June Jam Lineup
Announced
The star studded line-up for
June Jam V was announced at
the annual June Jam Press
Conference at the Alabama
Fan Club Heatli\?uarters in Fort
Payne, Ala., Monday, March
31. In a relaxed atmosphere of
friendly banter, band members
Randg Owen, Teddy Gentry,
Jeff Cook and Mark Herndon
told of their plans for the “big
gest Jam ever!”
Joining Alabama on the
two stafes set up near the Fort
Paiyne ootball field June 14,
will be Willie Nelson, the
Charlie Daniels Band, Mel
Tillis, the Forrester Sisters,
Gary Morris and John
Schneider. Serving as emcees
for the festivities are Jim
Varney, Ralgh Emery, Charlie
Douglas and Rhubarb Jones.

Annual Celebrity Bass Fishing
Tournament” at Weiss Lake in
Centre, Ala. Fishermen and
fans will pay an entrance fee to
“fish with the June Jam V
Entertainers’ and a chance to
win the grand prize of a Ranger
bass boat and Mariner engine.
That money will go to the June
Jam charities.
Gaynelle Pitts, who has
been involved in every June
Jam thus far, is again coor
dinating all activities in June
Jam V. “Initial response from
fans and volunteers alike ;l))oint
to our biggest Jam ever,” Pitts
said.
Net proceeds from these ac
tivities io to charity. Over $1
million has been raised and
distributed since the first June
Jam in 1982, including dona
tions to the following Chat
tooga County organizations:
Subligna Fire Department,
Menlo Fire Department, and
the North Georgia Crisis
Pregnancy Center.
