Sandra Henderson Is
Wed To Daryl Pledger
Miss Sandra Dianne
Henderson and Daryl Alan
Pledger were united in mar
riage in a 2 p.m. ceremony
Saturday, March 29, at Penn
ville Alliance Church.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Burrell E.
Henderson of Trion, and the
groom is the son of Brenda
arrish of Summerville and Ar
tis Pledger of Lyerlfi.
The fiev. Daniel E. Tanner
performed the double-ring
ceremoni.
The church was beautifully
decorated with a central heart
shaped candelabra. Two seven
branched candelabras entwin
ed with greenery were placed
on either side. Spring floral ar
rangements were placed on
pedastals beside the piano and

marked with white bows.
Traditional wedding music
was provided by organist
Susan Black. Songs were sunfi
by Lori Pledfier, Jeryl Smit
and Tommy Pledger, cousins of
the groom. Selections included,
“We've Only Just Begun,”
“You're the Inspiration,”
“Wedding Song,” and ‘“‘To
Me.” The Wedding March was
played for both the proces
sional and recessional.
Miss Angela Whiteside,
friend of the bride, attended
the bridal registry at a round
table with a baby blue cloth
which held a vase of pastel blue
flowers. Miss Dana Owens,
niece of the bride, presented
scrolls to the guests as they
entered the church.
The maid of honor was Miss
Tina Collette. The flower girl
was Kelly Owens, niece of the
bride.
The maid of honor and
flower girl wore street-length
dresses of floral pastel colors.
The maid of honor carried a
nosegaK of silk spring flowers
while the flower girl carried a
matching floral arrangement in
a white wicker basket.
The bride, escorted by her
father, wore a form‘ilflgown of
white organza over taffeta styl
ed with a sheer Koke of English
net traced with Schifflie em
broidery and seed pearls. Chan
%lme embellished the fitted
ice and formed a modified
Victorian collar. Sheer organza
touched with lace created the
Bishop sleeve. The graceful
skirt Fell into a scalloE treat
ment over a duet of Chantilly
lace flowers. Tiered scalloped
organza cascaded into an at
tached chapel-length train. Her
mantilla veil was edged with
Chantilly lace featurinfi
touches of lace scattere
throughout and was attached
toa i:cg-fiovere_d e&:ap with see(}
pearls. She carried a nosegay o

quet. She also carried two red
roses which she presented to
her mother and the groom's
mother.
The best man was Artis
Pledger, father of the groom;
and the ringbearer was Bryce
Parrish, brother of the groom.
The mother of the bride
wore a street-length mauve
dress and the groom's mother
wore a street-length rose dress.
Both wore silk orchid corsages.
After the ceremony, a
reception was held in the
fellowship hall of the church.
