Michael Camp
Michael Phillip Camp, 17, a
resident of Clarkston, I\&:uassed
away Thursday night, afi 22,
in an Atlanta hos:fili‘tal follow
ing an extended illness.
Mr. Camp was born in

resident of Summerville, pass
ed away early Saturday morn
infl. May 24, in a Fort
Ogleth hospital.
Mrs. Eopeland was born in
Chattooga County Oct. 12,
1904, daughter of the late
James and Lydia Drake
Bartlett. She was a member of
the Four Mile Baptist Church.
Mrs. Copeland was lereceded in
death by a son, Robert Lee
Copeland, in 1943.

Dennie Eugene Hennon, 57,

Community, passed away
Mondiy. May 26, at 4:30 p.m.

He was born in Floyd Coun
ty March 27, 1929, son of the
late Claude Hennon and
Florence Lively Hennon. Mr.
Hennon was a textile worker
and a Baptist. He was %reced
ed in death by a sister, Estelle
Edwards, in 1984.

Hattie Mae Winters Hennon of
Route 2, Summerville; four
daughters, Mrs. Juii{ Peace,
Mrs. Bobbie Beech, Mrs. Wan
da Enfiland. all of Summerville
and Mrs. Linda Brown of
Trion; three sons, Jena' Hen
non of Trion, Danny Hennon
and Dennis Hennon, both of
Summerville; two brothers,
Raymond Hennon of Trion and
Frankie Hennon of Villa Rica;
one half-brother, Bud Haygood
of Summerville; three sisters,
Mrs. Lucille Cochran of Sum
merville, Mrs. Grace Blackmon
and Mrs. Mable Ratliff, both of
xion; 10 grandchildren; and
veral nieces and nephews
also survive.

John Jackson
John E. Jackson, 69, a resi
dent of Route 1, Lyerly, pass
ed away Saturday afternoon,
May 24, in an Atlanta hospital.
Mr. Jackson was born in
Chattooga County Jan. 23,
1917, son of the late Grover C.
and Emma Kellett Jackson. He
was a member of the Lyerly
United Methodist Church, was
a retired textile worker, a
veteran of World War II serv
ing in the U. S. Armx and was
a member of VFW Post 6688.
Survivin&are one brother,
Grover Jackson of L{ery;
niece, Cathy Cantrell of
Powder Sprinfa; nephew,
James L. ackson of
Woodstock.

Langston, 47, a resident of
Marietta and former resident
of Summerville, passed away
Saturdafi/ morning, M.fi 24.
She had resided in Mariet
ta for the past 32 years, was a
member of the Marietta
Chapter of the Eastern Star
and a member of the Courtland
Heights Baptist Church of
Marietta.
Surviving are her husband,
James A. Langston; two
daughters, Mrs. Venita Lee
Bruton of Kennesaw and Mrs.
Andrea Renee White of Mariet
ta; one son, Robert Eugene
Laniston of Marietta; two
brothers, Wayne Cox of Fort
Worth, Texas, and Jack L. Cox
of San Diego, Calif.; two grand
children; and several nieces and
nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held
Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m.

Walker County Aug. 11, 1946,

Mann. He was an electrician
and a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Joyce Wooten Mann; mother,
Mrs. Eva Mann of LaFayette;
one son, Erik Mann of Sum
merville; four sisters, Mrs.
Agnes Bailfi'. Mrs. Donnie
Lively and Mrs. Ollie Avans,
all of LaFayette and Mrs. Et
ta Johnson of Chickamauga;
two brothers, Terry Mann of
LaFayette and Jimmy Mann of
Trion; and several nieces and
nephews, aunts and uncles also
survive,

Wednesday, Mafi 28, at 2 f.m.

Summer Reading Club To Begin
Registration for Summer Reading Club at
Chattooga County Library is scheduled
for Monday, June 2, through Saturday,
June 14. McDonald's is co-sponsoring the
program. Each child will set a goal for the
number of books to be read during the
summer and will receive a treat from
McDonald's for meeting the goal.
