Cordell Honored
The Truett-McConnell College Honors Day Program
was held recently at the First Baptist Church in
Cleveland. There were 39 honor awards presented by
the individual departments of the college. Pictured
above is the recipient of the Phi Theta Kappa Award,
Pam Cordell, left of Trion, with Dr. Russelfgrank, Phi
Theta Kappa faculty advisor.

The tables were covered
with a white cloth underlay
with Chantilly lace and mat
ching lace bows and held an ar
rangement of pink and white
carnations, daisies, and baby’s
breath.
The bride's round table held
a triple-tier cake circled with
garlands of tiny pink sugar
roses. The first tier contained
gairs of tiny lovebirds fplacea:l
etween each garland of roses.
Clusters of pink sugar roses
were arranged in each division.
The cake was topped with a
china bisque Precious
Moments bride and groom
figurine ornament.
The groom's chocolate cake
was covered with large
chocolate roses. Silver con
tainers held sausage balls,

Homecoming services will
be held Sunday, June 8, at the
West Summerville Baptist
Church.
The Rev. Charles Cornwell,
a former pastor, and present
pastor of New Prospect Bap
tist Church in Rockmart, will
be preaching at the 11 o’clock
service.
Lunch will be eread at the
noon hour in the fellowship hall
and the afternoon will feature
gospel singing by the Shorter
Avenue guartet of Rome.
Everyone is cordially invited to
attend by the church members
and pastor, the Rev. William
Harris.

Miss Pamela Jean Hurst
and Sammy Lewis were united
in marriage Sunday, M?' 4, at
3 p.m. with her grandfather,
the Rev. Gene Nicholson,
officiating.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kelise
Hurst of Trion and the late
Dennis E. Nicholson. The

jewelry was a pearl necklace

ed”” means that the ham has
been cooked in the meat pro
cessor's oven and may be eaten
