Receives Honor
The Beta Club of Chattooga High School honored their
sponsor, Mrs. Sally Coulfiette. with a surprise retire
ment gar}:fi' during their last meeting of the school year.
Mrs. Coulliette is retiring after 30 years of teaching dur
ing which time she was %eta sponsor for a period of 18
ears. The club presented Blrs. Coulliette with a
Keautiful Capodimante candlestick as a token of ap
preciation for her years of service.

Lawyer Bobby Lee Cook of
Summerville will participate in
the 20th annu(etlp Festival of
American Folklife in
Washington, D.C. This
popular outdoor event is set for
June 25-29 and July 2-6 from
11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the Na
tional Mall between 10th and
14th streets.
The Folklife Festival
celebrates the rich folk tradi
tions of the Americas, as well
as folkways of the old world.
This year’'s 20th anniversary
festival features Japan, the
state of Tennessee, the occupa
tional folk traditions of trial
lawyers and an area focusing
on the conservation of tradi
tional crafts in the United
States. As a special birthday
present to festival visitors,
there will be all-day, every-day
concerts featuring outstanding
musicians from previous years,
and a nightly dance party led
by festival artists will offer
visitors the ogportunity to par
ticipate in the festivities. All
events are free.
The Festival is planned and
produced by the Smithsonian's
Office of Folklife Programs and
the National Capital Region of
the National Park Service.

time while raising three sons.
Her oldest son, J%ffrey, 19, is
a freshman at Valdosta State
College where he is enrolled in
the pre-med program.
Her other two sons, Gerard,
14, and Derrick, 16, attend
Valdosta High School, where
Mrs. Zeigler did her student
teaching this year.
Mrs. Zeigler is a member of
the Art Stufients Association,
the Lowndes Count‘\;
Genealo%cal Society and Par
Avenue Methodist Church.
The Chattooga Coun}:{y
native is married to Gary R.
Zeigler, a certified public ac
countant in Valdosta.
Her brother, Mike Fligpo, 18
a musician whose band,
Fireweed, plays regularly at
the Chattooga County
