Mr. and Mrs. William
David Ramsey announce the
engagement and forthcoming
marriage of their daughter, En
thia Chrysan, to Lanny Elwyn
Thomas.
Miss Ramsey, who resides
in Lyerly, is a 1980 graduate of
Chattooga High School. She
g;aduated with a Bachelor of
ience degree in accounting
from Shorter College in 1984.
She is now enrlgloyed by Ed
Staten, CPA, in Dalton.
The bride-elect is the gand
daughter of the late David
Ramsey and Mrs. Bill Bishop,
and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Glenn Elsberry.
The future g{oom is the son
of the late Cliffton C. Thomas
and Mrs. Jimmy Putnam.
Mr. Thomas, who resides in
Summerville, is a 1980
gzaduate of LaFayette High
hool. He graduated with a
Bachelor of Science degree in
education from West Georgia
College in 1985. He is now
mployed by the Chattooga
&flmtx Board of Education
and teaches at Pennville
Elementary School.

Allen Young April 26
The marriage of Miss Angie
Howell and mn Young was
solemnized in a ceremony held
Saturday, April 26, at 3 o'clock
in the afternoon at Welcome
Hill Baptist Church.
The groom’'s father, Dan
Young, served as the officiant.
Nuptial music was
g‘resented by Lynn Thomas,
oni Bolton, cousins of the
bride; and Traci and Debbie
Green accompaied.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Howell
of Trion and the bridegroom is
the son of Dan Young of Sum
merville and the late Annie
Harris Young.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her g;arents, and
escorted down the aisle by her
father, pausing to present her
mother a rose.
Her gown featured a lace
Victorian neckline with a
princess waistline and lamb-of
mutton sleeves. The silk skirt
had a taffeta overlay of lace
with a matching train. The
Juliet veil was attached to a
pearl halo.
The flower girl was Nicole
Broome, niece of the bride.
Donna Shelton served as
maid of honor. She wore a
mauve taffeta tea length dress
and carried a silk nosegay of
mauve and white roses and
carnations.

identical to the maid of honor's
dress and carried silk
nosegays.
Larry Kilgo served as best
man. Groomsmen were Terry
Williamson, RickK Helms and
Mike Starkey. They were at
tired in grey tuxedos with
mauve cummerbunds. The
ringbearer was Jason Wilson,
cousin of the bride.
The church was decorated
with white burning tapers lit
by groomsmen Rick%: Helms
and Mike Starkefi. ogether
the bridal couple lit the unity
candle.
The bride's mother chose a
beige street-length dress with
a pastel striped ‘j‘acket. The
groom's stepmother wore a
rose pink street-length dress.
The maternal grandmother of
the bride, Mrs.%essie Thomas,
and the maternal grandmother
of the groom, Mrs. Laura Bell
Harris, were presented silk
corsages.
A reception followed the
ceremony.
Keepinfi the bride's book
was Pam Howell, sister of the
bride.
Serving at the bride’s table
were Angie Williamson and
Tammy Igllgo. The tiered wed
ding cake was decorated in
mauve and white roses and
petals. The table also held
mints and champagne glasses
used bfy the couple to make a
toast for happiness.
Serving at the groom‘s
table were Tammie Broome,
sister of the bride; and L[ydia
McGuire. The table held a
chocolate cake topped with
frosted grapes, lime punch and
finger foods. The reception was
catered by Ethel Brown, aunt
of the bride; and directed b

aunts of the bride.
The couple resides in Sum
merville after a wedding trip to
Hilton Head, S. C.

Kelly Young May 25
Miss Julie Reichenbach and
Kelly Young were united in
marriage May 25 at 2 p.m. in
an outdoor ceremony at the
residence of Mr. and Mrs. Den
nis Johnson of Cloudland.

Ms. Carol Reichenbach of
Cloudland and Joe Reichen

The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. John K. Young of
Summerville.
The poolside area was
decona\tetiJ with a white lattice
arch adorned with roses, sprin,
flowers and greenery. Assorteg
flower arrangements decorated

ed with Chantilly lace appli
ues and seed pearls. It

scalloped neckline, and long

full flowing skirt ended in a

flowers and pearls. As her
jewelry, the bride wore a strand
of cultured dpearls.
The bride carried out the
tradition of something old,
something new, something bor
rowed and something blue.
The bridal bouquet was a
formal cascade of silk sggng
flowers centered around a large
white orchid. Multicolored
E:stel streamers tied in love
ots fell from the bouquet.
Miss Tracy Johnson served
the bride as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Misses
Dawn Hawkins and Ann
Stubbs. The attendants wore
light blue formal gowns featur
ing low necklines and full
skirts. To compliment their
gowns, the attendants carried
nogegaxs of multicolored
sprmfiddowers.'
Nikki Hawkins, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Hawkins,
and LindseKiWallin. da#ht,er
of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wallin,
served as flower girls. They
wore dresses in pastel colors.
Each carried a white Wicker
basket filled with blue getals.
Tara Hawkins, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Hawkins,
carried the bridal train. She
also resided at the guest
register book as guests arrived.
Timmy Lindsey served the
Eroom as best man.
roomsmen were John Stubbs
111 and Donnie Fletcher. Each
was attired in a f’ray tuxedo
adorned with a blue silk rose
boutonniere. Ross Crabtree,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy
Crabtree, served as ringbearer.
Silk white rose and carna
tion corsaiea were presented to
the mother’'s and (frand
mother's of the bride and
groom.
Following the ceremony, a
reception was held on the lawn
of the residence.
The focal area of the recep
tion was a three-tiered wedding
cake with surrounding islands.
A clear fountain, stairwazs to
each island, a J:orcelain ride
and groom, an £.s‘Ering flowers
decorated the cake.
The groom’s double-tiered
chocolate cake was topped with
a Cinderella coach and sur
rounded with grapes.
Mints, nuts, an assortment
of hors d'oeuvres, punch and
champagne were also served.
Those assisting with serv
ing were Mrs. Greg Martin,
Mrs. Eddie Hawkins, Mrs.
Hugh Pless and Mrs. Greg
Woodall.
Rice bags and scrolls were
distributed by Miss Lacy

Scheduled
The Romine family reunion
will be held Sunday, June 15.
The famili" will meet at the
Circle-R Ranch on Sprins
Creek Road, home of Duel an
Ann Romine. Dinner will be on
the tables at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Bruce Wallin.
The wedding was directed
by Mrs. Jimmy Mcßae.
Prenugtial parties included
a bridal shower given by Mrs.
Randy Crabtree, Mrs. Bruce
