Bridal attendants were
Mrs. Olin West 111 of
Nashville, Tenn., sister of the
bride, who served as matron of
honor, and Mrs. George Griffin
Jr. of Rome. They wore tea
length dresses of romance blue
taffeta with fitted cartridge
sleeves, scalloped neckline, em
broidered dropped waist and a
full skirt. The attendants car
ried arm bouquets of yellow
and white roses, daisies and
ste%hanotis.

father, chose a formal length
gown of white imported silk
taffeta. The Basque-stly;le
bodice of re-embroidered Schif
fli lace over taffeta was trimm
ed in Venice lace. The full em
broidered skirt was overlaid
with layers of white Be‘lfium
and French netting. Han cli{r
ped motifs of Venice lace appli
ques were scattered over the
bodice and skirt. A deep border
of Schiffli embroidery edged
the scalloped hemline and
chapel-length train. Her floral
headpiece was of lilies of the
valley. She carried a cascade
bouquet of yellow and white
roses, stephanotis and fern.
Dr. Stephen D. Williams of
Boone, N.C., served as the
&'oom‘s best man, David
illiams of Washington, D. C,,
was the groomsman. Ushers
were Steve Thomas, brother of
the bride, and Olin West 111,
both of Nashville, Tenn.
The mother of the bride
chose a tea-lenfth dress of
daphne-rose chiffon which was
accented with a cymbidium or
chid corsage. A similar corsage
comglimented the groom's
mother's dress of cornflower
blue peau-de-soie.
Following the ceremony,
the bride's parents entertained
with a rec(gfition at the Coosa
Coun:nx' üb. Tables were
covered with white lace cloths
and arrangements of mixed

tables. Guests were served slic
ed roast beef, ham, smoked
turkey, assorted cheeses,
marinated mushrooms and
assorted fresh fruits, The four
tiered weddinfi cake was top
fied with yellow and white
owers.

bride's aunt, Mrs. Jack Townes
of Rome, and Mrs. William
Farrar of Summerville. Miss
