Safeguarding against
rabies isn't all that difficult in
household pets, according to
the veterinarian.
“We encourage the annual
vaccinations of animals against
rabies by licensed
veterinarians,” he said. “What
worries me is people not vac
cinating their animals. The on
ly way we can prevent it from
striking domestic animals is to
get them protected against it
with a vaccination.”
Coosa Valley Committee To
Publish Tabloid Prometing Area
Recent forecasts of con
tinued growth in the Nor
thwest Georgia area, known as
the Coosa Valley, have created
a need for communication and
information to keep the
business community aware of
rapid economic development.
As the borders of Atlanta, Bir
mingham and Chattanooga
have expanded outward, it has
become increasinggl important
to keep those inside this area,
as welras state-wide, informed
of the many ogportunities and
resources in this region of the
state.
In May of this year the
Coosa Vafiey Area Planning

a multi-paqle business
newspaper, will be the first
region-wide publication in the
10-county area and will serve
as a forum for news and infor
mation on the economic
development of the Coosa
Valley.
Trade World Group will
publish the ‘View’ to showcase
clinics will be held at Farmers
and Merchants Bank, Summer
ville, from 1 p.m. until 2 fp.m.
and at Trion Town Hall from
2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Trion
City Recorder Ricky Bowers
issued the following statement:
“We have been advised by
Dr. Black, Veterinarian, that
he will hold a Rabies Clinic in
Trion Saturday, June 21, from
2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m, He will
be located at the back of the
Town Hall, said Bowers.
“We encourage all dog

economic development pro
sgects in Georgia and
t rou(gihout the Southeastern
United States. Published in
Cartersville, the new business
to business tabloid will work in
conjunction with the Coosa
Val{ei{ Area Planning and
Development Commission,
various chambers of commerce
throughout Northwest Georgia
and economic leaders
throughout the region.
Under the auspices of the
Coosa Valley Area Planning
and Development Commission,
the goal oF the Coosa Valley
View is to show Northwest
Georgia as a sin%le thriving
economic region, leading the
way in the promotion of further
develoment and encourage
ment of new business. This in
formative paper will keep
business executives, managers,
investors, builders and outside
interests abreast of all business
news affecting the entire Nor
thwest Georgia region.
The Coosa Valley View will
be published every other
month. Circulation for the
premiere issue of the “View"
will be 10,050 and will be
targeted to both local and
statewide business leaders, as
well as city, county and state
officials. Trade World Group
has been directly engaged in
the development and growth of
the Coosa Valley for six years.
