Director
Javella Diane Gray is the
new Summerville Middle
School band director and music
teacher.
Mrs. Gray is a graduate of
Plainview High School,
Rainsville, Ala., where she was
in ‘“Who's Who Amon
American High Schoo%
Students,” a Student Govern
ment officer and a member of
the All-State Band. She was a
band officer and drum major.
She is a recent graduate of
Jacksonville State %niversity,
where she was a member of
Kaf)pa Delta E%silon, Omicron
Delta Kappa, Phi Mu Aclipha
Little Sister, Outstanding
Young Women of America,
homecoming court and Dean’s
List for four years. She was the
John Philip Sousa Award win
ner in higfi school.
Robert Fischer, former mid
dle school band director, is now
the band director at Cass High
School.

Hearings
A number of cases was
heard in hearings before Chat
tooga County Magistrate Jon
Payne late last week on
“civilian’’ criminal warrants
obtained by individuals rather
than by law enforcement
officials.
Charges of interference
with custody against Hilda
Copeland and Pauline Stamper
were dismissed because o?ea
lack of evidence.
A terroristic threats and
acts charge against Larry
Williams was dismissed at the
request of the prosecutor, as
was a separate aggravated
assault charge against
Williams.
Charlene Wilson, also
known as Charlene Brady, was
bound over to the Chattooga
Grand Jury on charges of se
cond degree forgery.
Ricky Wooten was bound
over to the Grand Jury on
charges of endangering a
security interest.
Aggravated assault
charges against William Henry
Pick%e Sr. were reduced to
reckless driving and leavinfi
the scene of an accident an
bound over to Chattooga State
Court.
A kidnapping charge
against Kenneth Trammell was
dismissed due to lack of
evidence.
A charge of second degree
criminal damage to property
against Rex Collins was
dismissed at the re?luest of the
person who took the warrant
originally. Court officials said
Collins paid for the alleged
damages.

famed Oshkosh Air Show is
scheduled. Activities Robert
will be participating in will be
search and rescue, survival
techniques, precision marching
drill, and the Oshkosh Air
