A second Headrick project
will be the widening of
Highway 337 from Menlo
‘ Schol to Highway 48, as well
as installation of sidewalks.
All the work is due to be
. completed by May 1, 1987.

CHARGE
Judge Loggins gave a most
ly routine Ac)garge to the jury
Monday morning, outlining
duties of the panefin consider
ing indictments, inspecting
books and records of various
county offices, checking public
buildings and ensuring the
sanitary condition of the coun
ty jail.
The judge also explained a
new state law that applies to
Chattooga County regarding
the jury's duties to fivaacan
cies on the Chattooga Hospital i
Authority. The Authority
presents three names per |
vacancy to the jury and the |
panel may select one of the |
three names to fill each post, |
the judge said.
The Authority last Satur
day in a special meeting that |
was announced in advance to |
the news media selected six |
names for each of two vacan- |
cies on the Authority. They |
were Charles Williams and Ira |
Pollard, both Authority in- |
cumbents, as well as Billy |
Gilbert, Jim Parker, David |
Luther and Sherry Bishop.
After being empanelled |
Monday morning, the jury |
selected Ronald B. Williams, |
Summerville Rte. 1, as its
foreman and A. B. Day, Menlo, |
as its assistant foreman. |
