Marijuana Search Cut Short In Area

day, Aug. 6, according to Chat
tooga Sheriff Gary McConnell.
“It was a very unsuccessful
air search,” said the sheriff,
because only 20 or 25 mari
juana plants were found in the
western part of the county, |
near the foot of Lookout Moun
tain and in the Chelsea
community.
Another helicopter that had
been assigned part of the coun
ty malfunctioned and could not
participate in the search,

One person was hurt in a one-car accident
around 1:15 a.m. last Sunday when his car
went out of control on a g;lman Street
curve at the city cemetery and struck a
concrete pier, fence post and fence.
