Heart Association Holds
Classes For School
Lunchroom Workers
Lunchroom workers from
three school systems met at
Chattoofga High School last
Friday for a da{ of seminars
zponsored by the Chattooga
ounty Chapter of the
American Heart Association.
The meeting was coor
dinated by Pat fiartline. local
Heart Chairman and director
of nursing at the Chattooga
County Hospital and Oak View
Nursing Home,
Lunchroom workers from
Chattooga County Schools,
Trion sity Schools and
Chickamauga City Schools at
tended the day-long series of
programs as part of their in
service training requirements.
The workers learned how good
nutrition can help prevent
heart disease. They also heard
various speakers on car
diovascular disease, high blood
ressure, exercise and heart
Eealth and stress reduction. A
number of the classes featured
demonstrations and films.

Three Hurt In Wrecks
Three people were hurt in
two separate traffic accidents
in Summerville during the
weekend.
One person was hurt when
his car crashed into a utility
gole on Bellah Avenue at Rome
ulevard, according to Sum
merville officer Gary Ford.
Reports said 18-year-old
Alfre(r Lewis Brown, 801 West
Washixégton St. was hurt ear
ly last Saturday morning when
his vehicle, northbound on
U. S. 27, attempted a left turn
onto Bellah Avenue and
smashed into a utility &ole.
Ford said he was driving
too fast for conditions.
