Dry Valley Days
Set Next Monday
Justus Band will provide ‘
entertainment at Dry Valley
Dag's from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 1
Labor Day.
The ot{uer events will also
befili;‘l at 11 a.m. and include:
fishing rodeo, 11 a.m.-noon; law
officers’ horseshoe tournament
beginning at 12:30 p.m.; sack
race, 1-1:30 p.m.; coon on a log,
1:30-2:30 p.m.; tobacco spitting
contest, 5:30-3 p.m.; and the
greased pig chase at 3:15 p.m.
Children’s softball lglames
will be held throughout the day
and all children are invited to
bring their glove and play.
A variety of homemade
crafts will be on display all day
and drawings for a wireless
remote VCR and .30-.30 caliber
rifle and other gifts from local
merchants will be held.

for the sixth year, has planned
a day for everyone. Dry Valley
Days is held each year at the
scenic area surrounding Jarrett
Lake.
Acteen Girls
The Acteen Girls of Menlo
Baptist Church will sponsor a
yard sale on Labor Day at the
top of Cloudland Mountain.
Al proceeds will go to
missions.
