Practices For Football Season
“Our line will tell the tale of
the season,”” Coach Lanny
Thomas said as he summed up
the season for the 1986 Chat
tooga Junior Varsity this week.

ty here at 5 p.m.
Coach EE‘homas said,
“QOverall our practices have
fone verK well. We have had a

are in the breaking-in stage.
The{ are not quite used to this
level of competition.”
He continued, ‘‘Actually,
we have been more pleased
each day. They have hag avery
good attitude.”

a year ago only lost one game,
but Coach Thomas felt that
this year's squad was bigger
and better on the line with
more depth than a year ago.
Also the backs have more
depth than a year ago with an
equal amount as speed.
Thomas added, ‘‘Our weak
spot is that we don’t have as
many players back for the se
cond year as we have had in the
past. We will depend a lot on
our leaders that are coming
back, John England, Dewayne
McSears, Shaun Regalado and
Michael Humphrey."
“Our bright spots are our
line, which you gon’t see as
often at this K&vel. To sum it up
we have real good backs and
good people up front,” he
