SUMMERVILLE FIRM SUBMITTED LOWER COST BID
To Auction Old Summerville Junior High Buildings
Board Rejects Low Proposal
from front page
“The board felt he (Todd) was
more widely known and would
do a better job. We thought he
would get more bidders than
anyone else.”
Cook continued, *“We don't
have anything against Mr. Col
bert. This was just one the en
tire board agreed on.”
Cook was asked if the board
had discussed the percentages
obtained from Todd, Colbert
and any other auction com
panies at an open meeting of
the board. **Yessir, we did,” he
replied.
Colbert was asked if he
planned to take any steps
regarding the school board
passing over his firm. *“There's
no further action to be taken,”
