Chambless Jr.
Guy Chambless Jr., 65,
Nahunta, passed away Dec. 7.
Mr. Chambless was born in
Terrell County on July 27,
1921, son of the late Guy
Chambless Sr. and Vera Long
Chambless. He established the
Chambless Funeral Home in
1957, was a member of the
Nahunta United Methodist
Church and Frank F. Baker
Lodge 46 F&AM. He was an
honor graduate of the Cincin
nati College of Embalming, a
U. S. Navy veteran of World
War II and Korea and served
as coroner of Brantley County
for 16 years.
Surviving are his widow,
Mrs. Ruth McCurdy

Dec. 9 in the chapel of
Chambless Funeral glome‘
Nahunta, with the Revs. E.
Hilton Morgan, James Young
and Jerry Jarrell officiating.
Interment was in New
Hope Cemetery.
Eunice Hutchins
Eunice E. Hutchins, 78,
Bitt,iggs Avenue, Summerville,
passed away Tuesday mornin
in Chattooga County Hospitaf
Mrs. Hutchins was born in
Chattooga County Aug. 30,
1908, daughter of the late Ear
ly James and Elmo Whitle
Hutchins. A son, Hershefi
“‘Pete”’ Hutchins, died Feb. 12,
1986.
Surviving are three
brothers, Jimmy Hutchins and
Harvey Hutchins, Summerville
and Lester Hutchins, Atlanta:
granddaughter, Mrs. Judy
Woods, Summerville; grand
son, Andy Hutchins, Summer
ville; four great-grandsons:;
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services wifi be held
at 2 p.m. today in the Berryton
Church of God with the Revs.
Gleason Maxwell and Dale
Willingham officiating.
Interment will be in Sum
merville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be
Pat Gaines, Charles Ratliff,
Terry Ratliff, Edward Tinney,
Greg Koonce and Bud Whitley.
They are asked to assmble at
the church at 12:50 a.m. today.

Mrs. Minnie Tucker, 69,
Lyerly Rte. 1, passed away
Saturday morning in Chat
toog;\ County Hospital.

Cherokee County, Ala., Au?. ¢
1917, daughter of the late
James Thompson and Belle
Ruthledge Baker. She was a
member of the Lyerly Con
gregational Holiness Church
and was retired from the need!-
ing department of Geor%'ia Rug
Mill. A son, Tommy Tucker,
died Dec. 8, 1974.
Surviving are her widower,
Paul Tucker; daughter, Mrs.
Elizabeth Dodd, Summerville;
three sons, Sam Tucker, Fair
burn, Paul Watson Tucker,
Marietta and Jerry Tucker,
Ellenwood; three sisters, Mrs.
Mamie Smith, Mableton, Mrs.
Mary Fortune, LaFayette, and
Mrs. Margaret Crews,
Mableton; brother, James
Baker, Bushnell, Fla.; 13
grandchildren; 12 great
grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services were held
at 1 p.m. Monday in the Hill
Chapel of Lane Funeral Home
with the Revs. Glenn Studdard
and Herbie Cook officiating.
Interment was in Green
Hills Memory Garden.

Della Warren
Mrs. Della Mae Floyd War
ren, 82, Bittings Avenue, Sum
merville, passed away Satur
day night in Chattooga Coun
ty Hospital.
Mrs. Warren was born in
Chattooga County Sept. 9,
1904, daughter of the late
James and Lula Parr Floyd.
She was a member of the Sar
dis Baptist Church. A
daughter, Jewell Giddins, died

Woodall
Rev. Clarence Woodall, 72,
Lyerly Rte. 1, passed away
Saturday morning in a Fort
Oglethorpe hospital.
The Rev. Woodall was born
in Chattooga County Jan. 22,
1914, son of the Kate John
Henry and Nila Gwenn
Woodall. He was a member of
the Summerville Church of
God of Prophecy, was a
minister and retired painter.
Surviving are his widow,
Mrs. Annie Anderson Woodall,
Lyerly; daughter, Mrs. Nola
Benson, Cooiville. Tenn.; two
sons, Benny Woodall, Lyerly,
and Lamar Woodall, Trenton;
one half sister, Mrs. Myrtle
Miller, Summerville; one
brother, Clifford Woodall,
Lyerly; two half brothers,
Louie Woodall, Lyerly, and
Curtis Woodall, glearwater,
Fla.; one granddaughter; five
grandsons; two great
grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services were held
at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Hill

p.m. in a Rome hosgital.
She was born in Chattooga
County Ma 21, 1908,
daughter of tie late George
Langston and Jeannie
Love%ace Langston. She was a
retired textile worker and a
member of the Trion First Bap
tist Church.
Surviving are her widower,
Earl Woods, Summerville Rte.
3; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby
Tanner, Cloudland, Mrs.
Frances McDowell, Linville,
S.C., and Mrs. Faye Jones,
Orlando, Fla.; one son, Robert
Campbell, Toccoa; eight grand
chil(fren; 10 great
grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services were held
at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel
of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home
with the Revs. Jim Cordell and
Jack Colwell officiating.
Interment was in West Hill
Cemetery.

Part of the Town Creek bridge work is
nearing completion in North Summerville.
However, work is expected to begin short
ly on widening the western part of the
culvert or bridge. Inclement weather has
