said decedent, known, unknown and whose
legal residences are in doubt.
YOU AND EACH OF YOU are hereby
commanded to be and appear on the first Mon
dn{ in January, 1987, at 10:00 o'clock a.m
before the Profiate Court for said County to
show cause, if any there be, why the probate
in solemn form of the will of said decedent
should not be had.
Jon M. Payne, Judge of the Probate
Court
Delena Day and Joney Mullen,
seventh grade students at
Highland %last Middle School,
1300 S. E. Fourth St., Moore,
Okla. had sent the balloons and
card aloft. No date was given
on the card.
The students said they had
made a 75-cent donation to the
Red Andrews Christmas din
ner to launch the balloon and
to help a child enjoy a happier
Christmas. The card also ask
ed for a donation by the person
finding the card, and that the
card be mailed back to the
students.
Mrs. Simpson said she
planned to make a photocopy
of the card to send back to t%e
stidents so her grand
daughter, Kristin, will be able
to keep the original card as a
keepsake. A donation also will
be made to the Christmas
charity listed on the card, Mrs.
Simpson said.
Kristin is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Warren,
Highway 140. Flovd County.
Blood Donations
Dip On Holidays
“We always need more
blood around the holidays, but
the donor base always drops
off,” said Jean Lambert of the
American Red Cross who
visited Chattooga County
recently.
According to the Red Cross
donor consultant, response to
the community blood drive
Tuesday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at
Chattooga County Hospital is
critical.
“We have more accidents
and need more blood around
the holidays than at any other
time'" she said. “'lf the com
munity responds well to this
blood drive, it will ensure that
anyone who needs blood will
get it. You never know who is
going to need help next.
“A lot of recipients are
children, because of leukemia,
or the elderly. Surgery can pro
long life, but a lot of blood is re
quired. With the new liver
transplant program at Emory
University, people won't have
to travel to Pennsylvania
anymore, but it will increase
our region's need for blood
donations.”
Red Cross records indicate
that North Georgia imports
more blood from across the
country than it donates.
“We are an import region,”
Ms. Lambert said. **We never
collect as much as we use.”
Local donors are advised to
get enough rest and eat a full
meal before donating blood.
“If they skip a meal or just
eat a bowl of lettuce before
donating blood, they won't feel
very well afterward,” she
advised.
“The whole process takes
about an hour, from the time
you register until the time you
leave the center. After registra
tion, we give a mini-physical to
check the blood pressure,
pulse, temperature and iron
