sixth birthday on Dec. 28 at
McDonald's restaurant, Sum
merville. Present were Clint
Wells, Amanda Barrlett, Tara
Barnnett and Deeanna Over
bay. They played games and
were served hamburgers, fries,
soft drinks and cake. Christie
received numerous gifts. She is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jimmy Cooper, Summerville,
and attends Trion
Kindergarten. She is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Cooper and Mr. and
Mrs. C. L. Daniel and the late
Barbara Daniel, Summerville.

Michele Barham, Olathe,
Kan., great-granddaughter of
Mrs. Ella Graham, Summer
ville, has been named to
“Who's Who in American
Drillteams.”
She is the granddaughter of
Mrs. Lois Barham and the late
“Dub’” Barham, Rossville, as
well as Mrs. Shirley Perkins
and the late Ralph Perkins,
Rossville, formorfy of Chat
tooga County.
Miss Barham is a student
at Olathe South High School
and she has performed during
a Dallas Maverick basketball
game. She is also scheduled to
appear in the Fiesta Bowl
parade in Phoenix, Ariz.

lege, Rome. Classes will be
taught at the high school,
beginning Monday, Jan. 12.

Bellflower, Calif., will be guest
evangelist during revival ser
vices at Summerville Church of
God Sunday through Jan. 9.
Sunday evening's service
will begin at 6 o'clock while
weekday services will begin at
7:30 p.m. daily.
Mr. Davis will be praying
for the ill each night.

The educational psychology
and the two health-physical
education classes will run back
to-back as two mini-semesters.

| p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays.

status, according to Jeff
Hyder, director of special pro
grams at Shorter. “For some
students, the chance to get a
head start on their collegiate
education is very appealing, he
said.
The sls application fee will
be waived for any new student
entering the program.
Hyder pointed out that
Shorter operates on the
semester system, not the
quarter system.
