Joshua Cody Lee. He was born
Dec. 30 at Floyd Medical
Center, weighing 9 pounds. He
was 20 inches long. Cody has

Club held its January meeting
Jan. 13 at the home of Mrs. An
nie Mae Kimbell with Edna
Cook presiding.
After a short business
meeting, the guest speaker was
introduced. Mrs. Margaret
Gaylor, a retired home
economist and president of the
Rome chapter of American
Diabetics Association, gave an
informative slide show and talk
about her trip to Japan. She
and her husband were guests of
former Berry College friends
and spent a vacation in their
homes and sightseeing.
Refreshments were served.

Hatcher were united in mar
riage Saturday, Nov. 29, at the
Church of God, Summerville.
The Rev. E. Jack Matthews
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Watkins,
Rock Spring.
She is the granddaughter of
Mrs. Annie é&hite. Summer
ville, and the late Joe White,
and Mrs. Jewell Watkins,
Trion and the late Ralph
Watkins.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Hatcher,
Lindale.
He is the grandson of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Kiss,
Macon, and Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Hatcher, Arkansas Ci
ty, Kan.
A program of wedding
music was presented by Karen
Gaines, pianist. Sherry Dukes
sang ‘The Wedding Song"’ and
“Tonight 1 Celebrate My
Love.”
The bride, given in mar
riage b{y her father, wore a
gown of white silk taffeta and
silk Chantilly lace with a
sweetheart neckline and puffed
sleeves, the modified bouffant
skirt terminated into a
multitiered cathedral-length
train.
She wore a head wreath of
white roses and pearls, and car
ried a bridal nosegay of dee
rose colored roses and pinE
roses with baby’s breath.
Monnette Crabtree, cousin
of the bride, served as matron
of honor. She wore a pink tea
length dress with a nosegay of
light pink and deep rose with
baby's breath. Bridesmaids
were Shay Drennan, Patricia
Pettyjohn and Kim Grogan.
They wore tea length dresses of
deep rose. They carried long
stem deep pink colored roses
with rose and white ribbons.
Hollie Gurley, Summerville,
served as flower girl. She car
ried a basket of light pink and
dark rose flowers witfi baby’s

fellowship hall of the church.

Brisha Crabtree of Trion

After a short trip, they
reside in Rock Spring.

honor roll for the fall quarter at
North Georgia Technical and
Vocational School, Clarkes
ville.
A graduate of Chattooga
County High, he is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Carthell
Meadows.

Karl Kevin Morrison, Sum
merville, has been named to the
winter quarter president’s list
at Kennesaw College.
The distinction is awarded
to students who score a perfect
4.0 out of a possible 4.0 while
taking at least 10 quarter

Modeling
Program
Slated
The Public Service Office at
Floyd Junior College will soon
offer *'The Magic of Modeling."
This is an instruction to
modeling for those who want to
increase poise and style and
learn some of the ‘“magic"
tricks models use to transform
their images into the ones they
want to project on camera.
Students will receive
pointers on makeup techni
ques, skin, nail and fiuir care,
fashion flair and wardrobe
building, plus diet and
nutrition.
The instructor, Emily
Salitino, is a former profes
sional runway model.
“The Magic of Modeling”
will take place Tuesdays, Feb.
3, througE March 3, from 6:30
p.m. to 8 p.m. The fee is S3O.
