PINE GROVE NEWS — Pine Grove school has improved quite a bit in the
last year, having been painted inside and outside; shrubbery being planteéd 'ér
various parts of the ground, making it one of the most attractive rural schools
in the county. The enrollment has totaled approximately 100 for this year. Some
of the activities that are being carried on in the intermediate grades are: col
lecting facts to make a detailed study of Georgia, and a miniature newspaper.
The primary grades have purchased equipment for a model store to teach the
essential parts of buying and selling. Also a health project is being carried on
by making booklets, posters and actual practice of health rules. For four years
the school has been under the supervision of Mrs. Horace Simmons, assisted
by Miss Blanche Toles for two years.
