Single Parent Workshop
Walker Tech will offer a four-week ainglle parent
workshogvcalled CHIPS (Career Happenings for Interested
Parents Who Are Single), beginning March 30, from 8:30
-a.m'i‘}t‘:) 1:30 p.m. & RS i
is program is designed to single parents gain
confidence and self-esteem and be abg to get a job that will
pay enough to suiport a family. If the single parents need
more schooling, the program will help them get back into
school. The pr%gram is flexible enouih to be personalized
for each individual. The CHIPS workshop is free. Funds
are available for participants.

honored with a surprise an
niversary dinner last Sunday,
celebrating their 25th
anniversary.
The dinner was given by
their daughters, Janice
Blackwell, and Debbie and
Patricia Edgeworth.
It was held at Community
Holiness Church’s Fellowship
Hall. The hall was decorated
with many different colors.
They were honored by the
church congregation, family,
friends and Mr. and Mrs. Joel
Cook. Their anniversary was
Tuesday.
